FACTS CONCERNING WHAT THIS CONGREGATION BELIEVES
We believe that:
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin, lived without sin and died for our sins. He arose from the dead and will return for the saved. (John 3:16)
The Bible is God's inspired Word, and our authority. It is all true, but we live under the New Testament so we follow it. It tells Christians all we need to know. (II Timothy 3:16-17)
The church is Christ's body. It's purpose is to preach the Gospel and bring Christians to maturity in Christ. (Ephesians 4:7-13, 5:23-24)
Christians are individuals who have been cleansed from sin by Christ's blood and added to the Church.
To become a Christian one must:
1. Believe in Christ as God's Son. (Acts 16:30-33)
2. Repent of Sin. (Acts 2:38, 17:30)
3. Confess Christ as Lord. (Matthew 10:32, Romans 10:9-10)
4. Be baptized into Christ. (Mark 16:15-16)
Baptism is by immersion in water and is for believers only. It makes possible a new life in Christ. (Romans 6:3-5)
The Lord's supper is observed each Sunday to remember and honor the death of Jesus. (Acts 20:7, I Corinthians 11:23-26)
Stewardship is required of every Christian. We are to give as we have received and give cheerfully. We must be stewards of everything God has given us. (I Corinthians 16:2, II Corinthians 9:6-8, Romans 12:1,2)
World Evangelism is Christ's command. We have a missions program that lets each Christian support the missionaries they choose and thus be a part of Christ's plan. (Matthew 28:18-20, Romans 10:12-15)
